The disinfectant properties of UV light have been known about and used for decades to sterilize air, water, surfaces and objects

UV emissions are invisible to the human eye and are divided into three categories:
UV-A, UV-B and UV-C (“UVGI”: Germicidal UV). The UV-C category identifies emissions included in the range between 100 and 280 nm. Maximum germicidal action is obtained at 265 nm.

VGuard4 emits UV radiation between 260 and 270nm. This means it is extremely efficient at eliminating germs and viruses by breaking down pathogen DNA and RNA, rendering it inactive and effectively stopping replication.
